Position Summary for Vice President of Finance
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Vice President of Finance to oversee our procurement processes and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and inventory management. This role is crucial in ensuring that our organization maintains optimal inventory levels while sourcing high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. The VP of Finance will collaborate with various departments to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.

Responsibilities for the Vice President of Finance:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Manage the procurement process from sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier selection.
• Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify purchasing needs and specifications.
• The Vice President of Finance will analyze market trends and supplier performance to optimize sourcing decisions.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms for favorable pricing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding procurement activities.
• Continuously evaluate supply chain processes for efficiency improvements.
Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA Preferred
- 5+ years of combined experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems
